Job Description
Analysis of circuit transients and their upset mechanisms and device physics evaluations. Responsibilities include model development and simulation, as well as collection dynamics essential to establish circuit response and mitigation techniques for digital single event transients and other adverse radiation effects. Candidate will be responsible for designing experiments and performing research, data analysis and project management related to digital single event transient degradation.
Desired Skills and Expertise
The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or other relevant field with emphasis on Device Technology, be a U.S. citizen, or maintain U.S. person status, have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to interact seamlessly with team members internal and external to Micro-RDC.
Further, Micro-RDC desires that interested candidates possess capabilities in Radiation Hardened by Design (RHBD) circuit techniques including design of mechanical hardware, integrated circuit simulation in SPICE, Monte Carlo simulations in Perl, and knowledge of control systems in LabVIEW and FPGAs.
Knowledge of IC digital design in Verilog and VHDL and programming in C++ is beneficial.
